Donkey to Carry Water
An Afghan young girl carries cans of drink water on donkey. Many years of conflict and several seasons of severe drought have damaged the water-supply network and dried out dams and walls in Kabul. The two most deadly health risks in most emergencies are insufficient or unsafe water and inadequate sanitation, causing disease outbreaks. It reminds of back in the days (2005-2007) when I was walking this pass everyday going to my office in Baharestan. On my way, I was carrying buckets of water for these women and children, seeing them happy was a joyful exuberance.
